Abstract. The paper discusses a methodology for the analysis of operating conditions of future electric power systems (EPSs) for planning their expansion. Given the transformation of the EPS structure and properties, we demonstrate the need to adjust regulatory requirements for EPS stability in specific proposed areas. The models and methods designed to analyze the future EPS operating conditions and implement them in the ANARES software are described. An illustrative example of assessing EPS security is shown.

Abstract. The article discusses the issues of determining the optimal level of reservation of generating capacity in electric power systems. To solve this problem, it is necessary to assessment the adequacy of electric power systems. When assessment the adequacy of modern electric power systems, it is necessary to take into account influential factors, in addition to traditional ones, such as failures and repairs of power equipment, irregular fluctuations in power consumption, as well as new ones, such as the probability of the intensity of renewable energy resources, the specific operation of energy storage devices of various types, and other factors.

Abstract. The problem of identifying and organizing of monitoring of non-technical electricity losses in a section of a four- wire distribution electric network (DEN) controlled by means of an automated metering system is considered. The method of solving this problem, which consists in the analyzing of
the complex values of the linear currents of the DEN final inter-subscriber section and its last subscriber is proposed. Its currents values are determined on the basis of data from periodic simultaneous measurements of the effective values of voltages and currents, as well as the phase displacement angles between them, performed at the beginning of the network and at all its subscribers, respectively, with the head metering device and subscriber electricity meters. In this case, the condition of equality of the resistances of the phase and neutral wires within the interpersonal section of the DEN is used, as well as the results of the preliminary calculation
of the complex resistances of the interpersonal sections of the distribution network in the mode with no unauthorized power consumption. A procedure of determining of current of unauthorized consumption in the network phases at different points in time by the found currents at the end of the distribution network is presented. It allows to calculate and monitor the non-technical electricity losses in the controlled section of the distribution network.

Abstract. Application of different methods of forecasting the failure rate of wide area-located 500kV overhead lines (OHL) – conventional regressive methods (Fourier transformation, spectral singular analysis) and intelligent methods (neural and fuzzy neural networks) – is shown in this article. The forecast of OHL failure rate in bulk power systems for a 5-year planning time period is provided.

Abstract. The operating conditions of distribution networks, their variability and uncertainty, require more accurate measurement of operating parameters, in particular the phase angle (±0.01), and higher speed, which provides an accurate assessment of operating parameters for a time less than the industrial frequency period. The article proposes an upgraded discrete Fourier transform that provides a fast (10 MS observation window), accurate and easy-to-implement algorithm for obtaining estimates of sinusoidal oscillation parameters in compliance with the requirements of the IEC C37.118 standard. The developed algorithm offers an affordable PMU solution to improve the monitoring and management capabilities of the power system.

Abstract. Problems of intensive operation and wear (critical values) of electric loading installations within power supply systems for oil industry are considered in this article. Methods of reliability assessment in power supply systems (PSS) for oil industry are studied, their advantages and disadvantages are estimated. The concept of reliability improvement for oil industry PSS power transmission and consumption nodes is proposed. It describes the system condition based on logical and structural principles and is implemented by the example of submersible electrical motors being the most responsible node of an electric loading installation. The mathematical model (MM) of failure probability of a submersible electrical motor or its components has been made. It is obtained by structural-functional simulation with respect to residual life.

Abstract. The paper is devoted to the problem of oil-filled current transformers actual technical state assessment, as one of the types of auxiliary high-voltage equipment of power plants and substations, which are characterized by the absence of monitoring systems, and, as a consequence, high uncertainty in technical state identification. The author of the paper implemented a step-by-step procedure for initial data processing, which includes selection and transformation of individual features and state classes, initial data recovery, features collinearity analysis aimed at technical state identification accuracy improvement. The problem of recognizing the state classes of current transformers is solved using random forest and gradient boosting over decision trees algorithms. The developed system was tested on the basis of the equipment fleet of a regional grid company, which made it possible to obtain ranked lists of the equipment for inclusion into repair and maintenance programs of the utility.
