The "ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution" journal has become the unique Russian edition that has obtained the status of the official media partner of two major international events CIRED: CIRED-2022 Porto Workshop, June 2–3, 2022, Portu (Portugal), hybrid format, the topic "E-mobility and power distribution systems";27th International Conference and Exhibition on Electricity Distribution CIRED-2023, June 12–15, Rome (Italy). The organizer of both events is Engineers Association of the Montefiore Institute (Association des Ingénieurs de Montefiore — AIM) with the headquarters in Liege (Belgium) - an oldest European association of engineers founded in 1883. Participation in CIRED-2023 offers an opportunity to meet with more than 2500 experts and obtain advantages from direct cooperation with key leaders in the field of electricity distribution. Over the whole course of the conference the technical exhibition will be functioning with more than 140 companies taking part in it. Collection of proposals for reports participating in the conference is prolonged till May, 2022. The reports for CIRED 2022 Porto Workshop have been already collected. Over 250 topics have been proposed to the technical committee for consideration: planning, development and operation of electricity distribution systems that provide the charging infrastructure;equipment and components for e-mobile integration into electricity distribution systems;participation of the community, critical aspects of regulation and the business-model related to development of e-transport: integration of e-mobiles into smart cities and intelligent electricity distribution systems. The organizers of conferences and the "ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution" journal invite all Russian electricity distribution experts to take the most active part in these major international events. Historical background: CIRED (International Conference and Exhibition on Electricity Distribution with the status of a permanent institute) is a major international association with concern for the issues related to electricity distribution and consumer supply, including economical aspects (cost improvement, power supply arrangement and control, electricity market development, planning). The first CIRED conference was hold in May, 1971 by Belgian Engineers Association of the Montefiore Instritute (AIM) in response to the interest to 0,4-110 kV distribution systems shown at the conference arranged by this organization in Liege in 1969. The UK Electricity Research Association (ERA) also took active part in its arrangement. At first the plan was to hold the CIRED conference every other year in Belgium and the UK in turn. However huge interest of specialists in problems discussed at these conferences has turned into internationalization of CIRED activities and establishment of a permanent organization with the same name. At present, to achieve its goals, CIRED holds conferences in different European countries every other year. They are dedicated to advanced experience in technologies and management of technical aspects of electricity distribution. The conferences welcome participants and experts from all over the world. In the course of conferences they hold exhibitions of power and supplying companies. They are arranged by AIM and IET in turn. The "ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution" journal has a long-term practice of cooperation with CIRED.
