Optimization of Сontrol Over Voltage Regulation and Reactive Power Compensation Devices in the Southern Part of the Power System of Moscow and the Moscow Region
Gvozdev D.B. (PJSC Rosseti Moscow Region), Kholopov S.S. (JSC SO UPS)
Abstract. The algorithm of defining the set of control actions for voltage regulators and reactive power compensators that lead to overall minimization of power loss costs and regulator operation costs in 110-220 kV networks of PJSC Rosseti Moscow Region developed in the article was tested in an in-work network. The conclusions were made on overall resource saving of voltage regulators and reactive power compensators and reduction of active power losses when using the developed algorithm for regulator control. This, in turn, results in increased economical efficiency of a grid company.

Development of Technology of High-Speed Solid State On-Load Tap Changer with Integration into Digital Transformer Substations 6‑10/0.4 kV

Abstract. The article discusses the prospect of using high-speed solid state on-load tap changer (SOLTC) with integration into digital transformer substations 6-10/0.4 kV. Possibilities are provided for the development of automatic control of the output voltage of the transformer using the SOLTC technology for oil-immersed transformers with power control of the HV transformer. The conversion coefficients of the adjustment responses of the HV rotation of the power transformer have been obtained, the number of control steps has been increased and the control range has been expanded. Representation of the structure of the structure of the prototype SOLTC and the principle of operation of the semiconductor construction of the adjusting taps of the transformer. The structure of data implementation between the SOLTC modules and the high-resolution channel SOLTC to a digital transformer substation is shown. An information model of SOLTC for calculation as part of a digital transformer substation according to the IEC 60870-5-104 and IEC 61850 protocols is proposed. The use of SOLTC in a digital transformer substation is shown. The prospects for the development of digital transformer substations with the use of SOLTC on the conditions of detecting changes in identifying significant capacities, as well as when working in conditions of changing the structure of the network consideration, are noted.

Scheme Generalized Parameters Using for Evaluation and Limitation of Short-Circuit Currents of Complex Electric Power Systems
Lipilin M.S., Matus D.V., Chemborisova N.Sh., Chernenkov I.D. (NRU “MPEI”)
Abstract. The actual problem of limiting short-circuit currents in complex electric power networks with distributed generation with incomplete source data is investigated. At the same time, to assess the insensitivity of the studied nodes, it is proposed to use generalized parameters of the electrical network circuit based on the “balance-conductivity” method. By means of a singular analysis, the effectiveness of the proposed methodology is proved in the work. Mathematical models of interval estimation of the short-circuit currents value in network nodes ranked by the degree of their insensitivity have also been developed on the example of a regional 110 kV electric power system.

Increasing The Efficiency of Voltage Regulation in District Electric Networks
Korolev V.M., Vanin A.S., Goenko R.Yu., Tulsky V.N. (NRU “MPEI”)
Abstract. As of today, power distribution networks being transformed into digital distribution networks. At the same time, the capacity of new power equipment is not fully used. The paper analyzes voltage control algorithms used in power distribution networks. It’s concluded that new load management approaches can be introduced in power distribution networks via voltage regulation. New algorithms for voltage and load control in power distribution networks are proposed.

Determination of Particular Criteria for the Task of Optimizing the Production Program of a Network Organization Based on Minimizing Possible Negative Financial Consequences
Petrosenko V.A., Tulsky V.N. (NRU “MPEI”)
Abstract. The article formalizes the procedure for calculating the partial criteria of the mathematical model of the task of multi-criteria optimization of the production program of an electric grid organization. The above procedure is based on the assessment of minimizing the negative financial consequences associated with the presence of electricity losses, the lack of reliable and high-quality energy supply to consumers, the lack of the possibility of technological connection of energy receiving devices of consumers. In the course of the study, based on the calculated private criteria, an optimal selection of electric grid facilities to be included in the production program was established.

Evaluation of Customer Reliability with regard to Power Quality Indices Impact in Power Supply Systems
Nazarychev A.N., Skam’in A.N., Sobush Yu.V., Pugachev A.A. (Saint Petersburg Mining University)
Abstract. Impact of power quality indices (PQI) on reliability of consumers in power supply systems (PSS) is considered in this article. Negative impact of current and voltage higher harmonics in PSS on the failure rate of asynchronous electrical motors (AEM) installed at consumers’ is revealed. Examples of AEM technical resource calculation with regard to negative impact of irrelevant PQIs are provided. An approach to providing PSS reliability that resides in consideration of PQI impact on the AEM condition is proposed.

Abstract. The methods of assessing the technical condition and residual life of overhead line wires and lightning cables are analyzed; methods for diagnosing the accumulation of fatigue damage. To improve the accuracy of assessing the level of accumulation of fatigue damage, the limiting states of the wire, it is recommended to develop methods based on measuring the electrical resistance of the wire material during the development of fatigue damage. A method for monitoring the state of the surface layer by measuring electrical resistance at high frequencies is proposed. The results of experimental measurement of resistance are presented.
