RENEWABLE ENERGY
Multi-Agent Control for Virtual Inertia Modes in a Wind Power Plant-Relevance and Efficiency Analysis
Astapov V.Yu., Domyshev A.V. (Melentiev Energy Systems Institute SB RAS, Irkutsk ),
Achitaev A.A. (Sayano-Shushensky branch of Siberian Federal University, Sayanogorsk) Аbstract. This paper deals with the topic of increasing the control efficiency of wind power plants by utilizing the inertia of the wind turbines rotating parts. The paper compares the qualitative characteristics of transients in the case of a disturbance in an electrical network with a high share of power from a wind power plant for cases without the use of virtual inertia algorithms and with the use of uncoordinated and coordinated control of virtual inertia. The results show the advantage of coordinated virtual inertia control. It is concluded that there is a need for a virtual inertia control algorithm that does not require large computational power and expensive infrastructure, based on a multi-agent approach. The multi-agent virtual inertia control described in the paper allows to change the classical approaches to the use of virtual inertia and reduce the amplitude of frequency fluctuations in the network when the power balance is disturbed.

OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINES
Breaking Strength of Overhead Power Line Wires
Mishchenko V.V. (JSC “Lengidroproekt”)
Abstract. The value of the standard breaking force of multi-wire wires according to GOST 839-2019 “Non-insulated wires for overhead power lines. Technical specifications” do not correspond to the results of wire rupture tests. The article provides a justification for reducing the actual breaking force of a multi-wire wire in relation to the sum of the breaking forces of its constituent wires. The calculation scheme and the corresponding formulas are proposed. According to the author, the method of calculating the breaking force described in the article is suitable for any products and structures made of wire, including steel lightning protection cables of overhead lines and load-bearing ropes of the electric traction transport contact network.

CABLE LINES
Issues Related to the Crossing of Cable Lines and Roads
Pufal I.V.
Abstract. The article is intended to pay attention to the design of crossing of underground cable lines with roads. In particular, the issues of the depth of cable lines and ensuring the strength of both road densities and cable lines are addressed, including during the construction period. Recommendations on the choice of protective pipes, the use of shells and methods of construction work.

Evaluation of the Infl uence of the Core Material, the Number of Cores and the Method of Laying on the Loss of Active Power in Cables with a Voltage of Up to 1 kV
Soshinov A.G., Kopeykina T.V., Atrashenko O.S. (Kamyshin Institute of Technology (branch) of the Volgograd state technical university)
Abstract. This article discusses the calculation of active power losses in cables with a voltage of up to 1 kV with aluminum and copper cores using a calculation technique based on the use of a system of relative units. As part of the study, the calculation of the active power losses of two-core and three-core cables was performed. The calculations took into account the effect of the cable laying method on the resulting loss of active power. An assessment of the influence of the core material, the number of cores and the method of laying on the resulting loss of active power is given.

The Influence of Cable Laying Methods and Screen Bound Systems on the Efficiency of a Polymer-Insulated Power Cable Line
Karatkevich A.M., Krasnouski S.S. (PA “Energocomplekt” Ltd.)
Abstract. The application of the IEC 60287 standard for calculating losses in the screens of a single-core cable for various grounding schemes and installation options is shown. Recommendations are given for choosing the most efficient mode of operation of the cable line. Abstract. New digital current sensors with improved cur[1]rent conversion characteristics and expanded functionality are considered. The features of the newly developed sensors are shown, which make it possible to obtain a significant improvement in the basic characteristics of relay protection when using them. A two-level relay protection system based on new digital current sensors is proposed, which consists of a basic level and a centralized “digital superstructure” for each power node of the substation. The examples show quantitative indicators characterizing the improvement of relay protection properties in distribution networks.

Shender S.E. (Prosoft-Systems, LLC)
Abstract. The study addresses the problem of identifying the type of short circuit based on ensemble machine learning methods and phasor measurement units data. The problem of identifying the type of short circuit is considered from the point of view of use in emergency control devices for power system modes. To test the developed methodology, the IEEE39 power system model was used, for which a data sample containing 300 short-circuit modes was generated. During training and testing, extreme gradient boosting was chosen as the algorithm that provides maximum accuracy. Finally, directions for future research are identified.

Abstract. The direct step-by-step startup of asynchronous machines in the model of an isolated power system section is described in this article. A method of starting up the asynchronous motors in isolated power systems at current underfrequency is proposed to achieve considerable acceleration of the asynchronous motor startup. The importance of dynamic simulation of transient processes is demonstrated.
