The Effect of the Error in the Long-Term Forecast of the Demand for Electric Energy and Capacity on the Market Prices for “the Day-Ahead Electricity Market”
Kurnaleeva A.A. (NRU MPEI, Moscow) Silyukova D.D. (JSC SO UPS)
Abstract. This article discusses the united energy system of the Center, for which there is the greatest inaccuracy in forecasting the demand for electric energy. As part of the study, the calculation is carried out in the “DAM Simulator” software on the model of the Unified Energy System of Russia: for the estimated days of 2021, a calculation model was considered with the parameters of consumption in 2021 and the parameters of the power system in 2020. Additional scenario calculations were carried out, in which the maximum allowable flow of the active power of the cross-section changed, and the prices of the day-ahead market (DAM) for scenario cases were estimated. The greatest dependence of the DAM prices in the power system of the Center on the structure of the generation involved in the generation of electricity is revealed, the dependence of the DAM price on the price requests of producers dependent on the cost of fuel is presented.

Study of the Impact of Microgeneration Facilities on the Voltage Level in LV Electrical Networks
Kharitonov M.S., Kugucheva D.K. (Kaliningrad State Technical University)
Abstract. Development of the renewable energy with regard to microgeneration provides for formation of new operating conditions for LV electrical networks. The article studies the present-day problems that exist in LV networks with connected generating facilities. The results of study of the microgenerator impact on the voltage levels in the network nodes have been obtained by the “computational experiment” method used in a LV network model. The factors causing the voltage level change in network nodes when introducing the microgenerators have been defined. A general criterion that characterizes the parameters of the network with the installed microgeneration facilities has been proposed. Its possible use in assessment of the microgenerator impact on the voltage level in network nodes is described in the article.

Estimation of Electricity Generation Losses by Wind Turbines Due to Icing
Niyazov A.O., Deryugina G.V., Tsgoev R.S. (NRU MPEI, Moscow)
Abstract. A review and analysis of climatic, technical and other information on the possibilities and limitations of the operation and operation of wind turbines (wind turbines) in a cold climate was carried out. Anti-icing measures are described. An estimate of production losses due to icing of wind turbines at the sites of Ladoga and Onega lakes is given. It was revealed that cold climate conditions (temperature below 0°C) at the sites of Ladoga and Onega lakes are observed in 25.06% and 32.5% of the time, respectively, which leads to wind turbine generation losses due to icing of 10.56% and 18.55% according to indicative and 8.24% and 14.54% according to experimental power characteristics, respectively. The loss calculation was carried out using the above power characteristics for light and heavy icing conditions, which are recommended to be used in the early stages of design in the absence of operational data.

Switching of Transformer OLTC by Means of Fuzzy Logic
Krongauz D.E., Rubtsov K.D. (Krasnoyarsk Institute of Railway Transport Engineers – affiliate of Irkutsk State Transport University)
Abstract. This article considers the algorithm of fuzzy logic-based power transformer tap-changing. The model that gives the optimum moment for transformer switching with regard to fuzzy input data, currents and voltages has been created. The experiments have shown that the use of the fuzzy logic helps to reduce voltage fluctuations and swings during transformer tap-changing. This improves the quality of power systems and reduces probability of emergency situations.

On the Issue of Lightning Protection Efficiency of Backbone Electrical Networks of the United Energy System of East
Gayvoronskiy A.S. (LLC Research Center for High-Voltage Equipment) Kiselev A.Yu. (PJSC Rosseti branch – Yakutsk PMES) L’vov A.P. (PJSC Rosseti branch – IDGC of East)
Abstract. This study is aimed for assessing the efficiency of backbone network lightning protection of the United energy system of East. Technical solutions and the operation practice of the lightning protection based on line surge arresters with the external spark gap are subject to study. The summarized practical data on lightning outages, line arrester failure rates and the lightning discharge monitoring in overhead lines is provided. The efficiency of using line arresters with the external spark gap in 220 kV overhead lines to improve their lightning resistance level in the regions with high soil resistivity is revealed.

Procedure of Electric Safety Assessment in 20 kV Distribution Networks Based on Single-phase Fault Voltage Calculation
Gusev O.Yu., Gusev Yu.P., Kolesnikova K.V., Smotrov N.N. (NRU MPEI, Moscow)
Abstract. The electric safety of 20 kV distribution networks is sensitive to availability of isolated phase-shielded cables, the low-impedance resistive neutral grounding and the impact of a new national standard introduction – GOST R 50571-4-44-2019 that provides for using the fault voltage complementary to the touch voltage and the step voltage as an electric safety criterion. The relation of the singlephase fault voltage and the current distribution between shields and the ground with regard to capacitances between phase conductors and cable shields has been studied. The rated fault voltage values have been defined for 0.5 Ohm impedance of substation grounding devices.

Abstract. The article describes an improved method for measuring the resistance of high-voltage insulation of large electrical machines and devices with a large time constant. The purpose of the proposed technique is to reduce the measurement time. During the research, a mathematical model and a program were developed that allows to reduce the diagnostic time to 1 minute and reduce the error. The technique can be used in practice to diagnose and control the quality of heterogeneous high-voltage insulation of electrical machines, transformers and electrical devices with a large time constant.
