Expansion of PJSC ROSSETI
International Cooperation

The leading position of large-scale power grid digitalization in Rus-

sia is assigned to Russian producers of power grid equipment and 

PJSC ROSSETI foreign partners with networks digitalization expe-

rience. It has become a key topic of the negotiations, discussions, 

and agreements performed by PJSC ROSSETI within St. Petersburg 

International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2018).

Russia-France business dialog

Macron participation. In his speech, 
PJSC ROSSETI Director General told 
to the leaders of international and Rus-
sian business communities about pow-
er grid digitalization plans.

As Pavel Livinsky noted, the energy 

infrastructure of Russia is on the way to 
large-scale modernization. "The crea-
tion of smart electric power industry 
is  an  integral  part  of  country's  econo-
my digitalization – the task set by the
President of Russia. We are obliged to 

make a technological breakthrough in 
power grid operation", the head of PJSC
ROSSETI underlined.

According to Pavel Livinsky, the 

company welcomes and appreciates 
open and constructive dialogue be-
tween PJSC ROSSETI and French 
counterparts. "We 

fi

 nd a huge potential 

for application of advanced and proven 
French technologies in Russian high-
level network management systems. 
As an example of effective coopera-
tion, I would like to note the partner-
ship with Schneider Electric within the 
framework of joint project of power grid 
digitalization in the Tver Region. In the 
future, the positive experience we gain 
can be replicated in other regions of

ready not only to adapt the solu-
tions offered by the foreign col-
leagues, but also to

technologies and to export them 
to international markets relying on 
the domestic potential of the larg-
est industrial players, such as Ros-
tec State Corporation", said Pavel 
Livinsky. He also underlined that 
digitization for Russia is an impetus 
for industrial growth, new indus-
tries establishment, and new quali-

 cation requirements on the labor

market.

"All mentioned tasks we have to 

realize in the nearest future. We are

 dent that our production and re-

search cooperation will be develop-
ing steadily", PJSC ROSSETI Direc-
tor General concluded.

The company's head also visited 

the pavilion of the French Republic. 
Within the framework of the Forum 
joint exposition, the

 agship  com-

panies of French national economy, 
such as Société Générale, Schnei-
der Electric, Renault, Sano

fi

 ,  Air 

Liquide, Total, Danone, Auchan, 
L'Oréal, Michelin and others were 
represented.

In particular, Schneider Elec-

tric innovative solutions in the 

fi

 eld 

of urban electric transport wireless 
charging were demonstrated for 

the head of PJSC ROSSETI. Pavel 
Li vin sky also got acquainted with 
a new model of Renault electric ve-
hicle and inspected the stands of 
Engie (the company offering "green 
energy" solutions in Russia), and 
Total (global oil and gas company).

unite efforts of Russian and French 
companies for improving the quali-
ty  of  remote  Siberian  territories
energy supply. A corresponding me-
morandum was signed between 
PJSC "IDGC of Siberia" (part of
ROSSETI Group) and the Rus-
sian re presentative of

fi

 ce of SAFT 

French company.

SAFT is the world leading de-

veloper and manufacturer of lithium 
batteries and accumulators for in-
dustrial, military and space applica-
tions. Vitaly Ivanov, PJSC "IDGC of 
Siberia" Director General empha-
sized  that  SAFT's  innovative  solu-
tions in the 

fi

 eld of power storage 

systems can be effectively applied 
in Siberia. "There are remote set-
tlements on the territory of Siberia, 
where power supply is often carried 
out by means of diesel generators. 
Of course, this is not the most ef-
fective technical solution, which af-
fects both power quality and cost of 
electricity.  Additional  energy  stor-
age unit installation in the popu-
lated area will give a possibility to 
smooth out consumption peaks, to 

save fuel and, most importantly, to 
ensure uninterrupted power supply 
when starting and stopping diesel 
generators", Vitaly Ivanov said.

and determine the territory for its 
implementation in PJSC "IDGC of 
Siberia" operation zone in the near-
est future.

ed high potential of PJSC "IDGC of 
Siberia" and SAFT cooperation.

The active interest in the projects 

of ROSSETI Group of foreign com-
panies was caused by the increase 
PJSC ROSSETI long-term inter-
national scale credit rating to the 
level of B

ВВ

- with a stable outlook 

in the beginning of 2018 (according 
to Standard & Poor's international 
agency). It was linked with the en-
hancement of the Russian Federa-
tion sovereign rating to the invest-
ment level ("BBB-" with a stable 
outlook), which took place earlier 
(February 23, 2018).

As a result, PJSC ROSSETI cred-

it rating and sovereign rating of the 
Russian Federation are at the invest-
ment level. It con

fi

 rms the company's 

high 

fi

 nancial stability, as well as its 

strategic importance for power indus-
try and the state as a whole.
